In order to Watch the movie one has to go to Rawalpindi & Islamabad and spend 10,000 PKR on fuel and other expenses to watch a Newly released block buster English Movies.
Top Gun Maverick is a sequel to 1986 movie by Tom cruise as Highest Grossing Movie and to Watch it one has to Go to Islamabad 200 KM away and then return 200 KM just for a movie .
The People of Peshawar is being denied pleasure of watching Great Hollywood Movies as a state policy that does not allow any Movie Franchise to exist in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa .
Most of ,50 Cinemas that existed are shut down and made into other commercial Franchises and thoss inside of Drlefencr Cantonments are shut down Indefinitely.
The Cinama that were made by Colonial Master the British and in possession of Pakistan Armed forces are now not being operated so one can not watch a movie but they have been deliberately shut down .
This situation is found in other cities like Kohat , Risalpur , Mardan and even in Nowshera , Abbotabad , DI Khan , Bannu and Other cities of Pakhtunkhwa .
This state policy is not open but clandestine and un written and Nobody is bothered to even addresss it out of fear of back lash from Mulluhcracy and Militey which uses Islam for it's Objectives.
Pakistan film industry was sabotages by Heavy Taxes and High Prices of Tickets like 1000 PKR for 1 Person is very high Price and beyond Reach of common man.
As a result less than a Dozen Local movies are made a Year .
English Movies are banned as contraband for Pakhtunkhwa & Baluchistan while allowed for Punjab and Sind.
I met many of My Friend who had to go to Rawalpindi Punjab to watch this Top Gun Movie at Cinemas over there .
This Appathy towards Pakhtons and Pakhtunkhwa resident is something I wrote about as nobody else is bothered to write about it and tell you storry about this Aspect of life of Pakhtunkhwa.
